client MAURICE JONES-DREW PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME CLASS OF 2020 MODERN-ERA CANDIDATE

September 12, 2019

Congratulations to client Maurice Jones-Drew for his well-deserved nomination for Pro Football Hall of Fame’s 2020 class.

Maurice, a retired All-Pro running back, was the Jacksonville Jaguars’ second-round draft pick in 2006. Maurice led the Jaguars in rushing in six of his eight seasons with the team. His career totals include 1,847 rushes for 8,167 yards and 68 touchdowns, 346 receptions for 2,944 yards and 11 touchdowns.

A three-time Pro Bowl selection, earning the honors in three straight years from 2009-11, Maurice is the only player in Jaguars history with at least 1,300 rushing yards in three consecutive seasons. He is also the first player in franchise history to lead the NFL in rushing after finishing with a team-record 1,606 yards in 2011.

Maurice was a pioneer for running backs during his time with the Jaguars with the ability to keep the team watchable all by himself, which really is what made him a special franchise player.
