The Sports & Entertainment Group President and Principal Founder, Jeffery Whitney, was one of the featured panelists on the “The Inescapable Intersection of Race, Law, and Sports” panel along with Executive Director of the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) Michele Roberts at the Fourth National People of Color Legal Scholarship Conference (NPOC).
The Conference hosted by American University Washington College of Law, the NPOC Legal Scholarship Conference is the largest gathering of legal scholars of color in history, with an attendance of over 500 law professors and scholars from across the United States and the world.
This year’s conference theme was “People of Color and the Future of Democracy” and included keynote and discussions with some of the most prominent and influential figures in today’s fight for civil rights, equity, and justice.
